Meet our team

  • Dr Paul Teng

    Dr. Paul Teng graduated from the University of Queensland in 2006 with a Bachelor of Medicine, after earning a Bachelor of Pharmacy in 2002. Inspired by his colleagues, he trained to become a Dermatologist and was awarded Fellowship by the Australian College of Dermatology in 2014. His dermatology training included rotations at Princess Alexandra Hospital, Royal Brisbane Hospital, Mater Brisbane, Greenslopes Private Hospital, and the Wirral University Teaching Hospital in the UK. Dr. Teng is a Fellow of the Australian College of Dermatology, a member of the American Academy of Dermatologists, and has been published in the Australasian Journal of Dermatology.

    His interests within the specialty include early skin cancer detection, melanoma screening, acne, eczema, psoriasis, hyperhidrosis and laser dermatology.

    Dr Belle Comminos

    Dr. Belle Cominos graduated with honours from the University of Queensland in 1985. After completing her dermatology training in both the United Kingdom and Brisbane, she achieved a Fellowship with the Australian College of Dermatologists in 1994. Specializing in general dermatology with a sub-specialty focus on paediatric dermatology, acne, and rosacea, Dr. Cominos is also experienced in laser dermatology.

    She has a comprehensive background in treating skin cancers, solar damage, and vascular concerns. Dr. Cominos actively contributes to the Australasian College of Dermatologists, having served on the College Ethics Committee and as Secretary of the Brisbane Hospitals Dermatology Group.

    Dr Shiva Baghaei

    Dr. Shiva Baghaei is a highly experienced specialist dermatologist with over 24 years of clinical practice. A Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists, Dr. Baghaei has developed a particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of skin infections, acne, skin rashes, and female dermatological conditions.

    She is recognised for her proficiency in managing fungal, viral, and bacterial skin infections. Additionally, Dr. Baghaei specialises in both surgical and non-surgical treatments for skin cancers, ensuring patients receive personalised, evidence-based care. Her areas of interest also include psoriasis, eczema, hair loss, hyperhidrosis, and general dermatology.

    Dr Devita Surjana 

    Dr. Devita Surjana is a specialist dermatologist with expertise in psoriasis, eczema, acne, cutaneous malignancies, and paediatric dermatology. She graduated with a combined Science and Medicine degree from the University of New South Wales in 2005 and earned a PhD from the University of Sydney in 2013, researching the role of Nicotinamide in DNA repair and skin cancer prevention. Dr. Surjana completed her dermatology training at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Queensland Children's Hospital and became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2016.

    She is dedicated to providing personalised care for healthier skin.

    Alison, Registered Nurse

    Alison is a Registered Nurse and Dermal Clinician with over 10 years of clinical experience in medical, surgical, and procedural dermatology. She holds a Bachelor of Health Science and a Bachelor of Nursing, along with post-graduate studies in dermatology nursing.

    Alison has a special interest in utilising advanced laser technologies to effectively manage various skin conditions, including pigmentary and vascular concerns, scarring, and skin rejuvenation. She is passionate about educating patients about their diagnosed conditions and empowering them to take an active role in their care.

    Kym, Registered Nurse 

    Kym is a Registered Nurse with extensive experience in supporting medical and procedural dermatology patients. With a focus on patient care, she ensures comfort and safety throughout the treatment process. Collaborating closely with our dermatologists, Kym contributes to medical, surgical, and laser treatments, offering education and guidance to patients on their treatment regimens, monitoring progress, and ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care. She holds a laser license, which allows her to perform advanced laser treatments and provide targeted therapeutic interventions for various dermatological conditions.
